Liver & Lights No 65.  Clearance.
(The view from Cressingham Gardens)
The images in this new Liver & Lights
publication  are  of the
Cressingham Gardens Estate
and the  Boreraig cleared village on
 the  Isle of skye.
The text  is of two  poems  comparing
and contrasting  these two  places.
The photographs are by
Kathryn Round and  John Bently
and the drawings are by
John and Arthur Bently.
(Arthur’s are generally the better ones…).
Some of the drawings are of
Arthur and his pals making
hand made instruments, puppets
and cardboard models of
Cressingham  in order to perform
at the two  fundraisiing
benefits we have been involved
with to raise money for the
Save Cressingham fund.
This book  is  a memorial to both
those unforgettable events….
The first one, at
Herne Hill Station Hall last
November, also featured Kurdish
Superstar Nawros Oramari,
the amazing Bird Radio
and the‘interesting’ bonesandtheaft.
They  were devised
and organised by  the indefatigable  Ken Jones….
Well done Ken!
The second Happening in the Cressingham
Rotunda in  on May 14th (
(This Saturday!!)
featured Hippertronics and Black Rice
alongside the Ashleys Fit Up
puppet  show, and was the official
launch point of this book,
all proceeds from  which (after costs),
we will donate to the fund to save
