Hi Folks....Next Gig News!!

After our official launch party

at The Horse Hospital

last week we thought the summer could not be laid to rest until

we had done something local to mark the books inception

and

in the event of no suitable local venue 

unclosed,

or un - arsey

being available

we have decided to do  an

intimate gig in John and Kathy's

Railton Road House, so

Bones & The Aft 

will be playing Live!!

again to further celebrate

 Liver & Lights No 53

and leaving for Margate and Thurrock, 

according to the Evening Standard, as the familiar denizens

 of inner London are exchanged and upgraded. 

In response to all this, Liver & Lights No 53

 is a highly selective chronicle of a world soon to pass.

 Here is the Railton Road I see every day.

 "It is my road, your road, 

mythical, real, ordinary, strange,

 full of life and love and loss and comings 

and leavings turned into ten illustrated pamphlets 

contained in a brown card box, each containing

 a character or an incident observed

 and condensed for posterity and 

launched at the Horse Hospital with a 

rare performance by Bones and the Aft”

Thanks to the generosity of Chiara’ Ambrosio’s wonderful 

Light and Shadow Salon, we will be  launching the book

 with a special celebratory Bones and The Aft 

performance and party at the legendary Horse Hospital 

near Russell Sq tube station in the heart of 

Bloomsbury on Thursday 28th May at 7.30 pm.

The Horse Hospital has been a proud and unique supporter of 

underground, below the radar art and cinema for many 

years now and is itself under threat of closure from evil developers. 

Of the meagre £5.00 entrance fee, 

we will be donating 50 percent to the Save The Horse Hospital campaign.

At the moment, there are still some copies available of the book; 

ten individual pamphlets in a brown card box.

Liver & Lights

is John Bently’s  ongoing off beat hand made chronicle of our extraordinary lives and  times, being 54 Volumes in 32 years; a lifelong celebration of London, her people, their stories and the art of The Book.

For four days only, an amazing exhibition  at Brixton East celebrating the books themselves and in particular their regular transformation from page to performance

featuring the music and primal rock theatrics of the Liver & Lights performance incarnation Bones & The Aft and including stage sets, backdrops, props, costumes, hand made musical instruments, beloved motor vehicles, posters and publications.

The exhibition will culminate in a mini festival of music and theatricals featuring Bones & the Aft and special  guests Hester and Wilde.

The exhibition will also feature the launch of Liver & Lights No 54, a brand new limited edition hand made vinyl Long Playing Record by Bones & The Aft….

In my last blog I mentioned that the new book 

would be launched in May 

at a venue in Brixton?

well....they 'double booked' us, 

(or had a more lucrative offer more like) 

and that means its been cancelled........

and I'm going to be madly rushing around 

trying to find a suitable alternative..
